Abies sibirica, the Siberian fir, is a species of conifer native to Siberia. It is a perennial tree reaching 30–35 m in height and a trunk 0.5–1 m in diameter with a conical crown.
The bark is green-gray and soft with resin. The needle-shaped leaves are 2-3 cm long and 1.5 cm broad. They are light green above and with two grey-white bands of stomata below. The pineapples are cylindrical, 5-9.5 cm long and 25-35 mm wide. The 7 mm long seeds are released when the cone disintegrates after ripening.
It is native to the Taiga east of the Volga River and to Russia in general.
Essential oil is extracted from its leaves and are used in aromatherapy and perfumes. The wood is soft and light, being used in the construction of furniture.
