Ceriman seeds (Monstera deliciosa)
Pack of 10 fresh seeds, collected this season
Monstera deliciosa, commonly called ceriman or Adam's rib, is a species of climbing plant, endemic to tropical forests, which is distributed from central and southern Mexico.
It has a thick stem, reaches 20 m long; leaves large, leathery, shiny, cordate, 20 to 90 cm long × 20 to 80 cm wide. In new plants they are small, whole, without lobes or holes. Fruit 30 cm long × 3-5 cm in diameter, resembling a green ear of corn with hexagonal scales.
The seedlings grow going towards the darkest point they can find and when they locate a tree to adhere to, they look for light, climbing up the trunk.
The flower grows and opens in mid-summer.
